Outside Looking In announces the addition of new President and Board members December 5th, 2012
December 12, 2012 – Toronto, ON - Seven new board members, including President and Chair, were elected at a recent meeting held at the head office of Outside Looking In, in Toronto.
“We are so excited and grateful for the addition of our new Board members to our charitable organization,” says Founder and CEO, Tracee Smith. “OLI is in such huge demand across Canada from communities, organizations and friendship centres. We have had insurmountable growth and achievement our first five years that we are very much proud of. This boost in our Board capacity will help us strategically prepare for greater success in the next five years.”
The new board members are: Bernd Christmas, Mi’kmaq, President and Chair; Jamie Monastyrski, Ojibway; Jonathan Swanson, Chapleau Cree; Vanessa Ambtman-Smith, Cree; Andrew Bear Robe, Siksika, William Cortis, and Ryan Smith. They are joined by current Board member, Vanessa Smith.
“Outside Looking In is at a pivotal point in its history”, says Bernd Christmas, newly elected President and Chair. “We have a very strong board of directors with many different strengths that will guarantee OLI the ability to continue to grow. I believe in OLI and am extremely humbled to be asked to be the Chair on the Board of Directors.”
