OLI is so excited to be returning to our first in-person showcase in 2 years! We are looking for volunteers to help out in various roles, descriptions of which can be found below. All volunteers will be needed on-site at Meridian Hall (1 Front Street East, Toronto). 

 

Please complete the form below and indicate if you would like to sign up for a specific team and if you have a preference for shifts.

Roles
 

Merchandise Team: 

  • Understand and implement good inventory management and cash handling procedures 

  • Manage a Square Point of Sales System 

  • Assist with Merchandise Booth set-up and take down 

  • Practice good cash handling procedures 

  • Assist with Booth Operations - including such things as daily start-up and closing procedures, crowd control, inventory management, and keeping both area neat and attractive 

  • Answer general attendee questions about Outside Looking In 
     

Registration Table: 4 volunteers

  • Greet attendees for pre-show cocktail hour 

  • Guide attendees to pre-show cocktail 

  • Sign people in at the registration table 

  • Answer general attendee questions about Outside Looking In
     

Greeting Committee: 5-10 volunteers needed  

  • Warm-up the crowd for the matinee 

  • Greet school attendees on the bus, and direct them to their seats 

  • Hand out materials to teachers and students 

  • High energy role, looking for people to help warm up the crowd for the celebration! 


Door Guards: 5-10 volunteers needed  

  • Keep watch of entrances and exits to make sure that only authorized personnel are entering and exiting the building 

  • This is the perfect opportunity to catch up on some minimally interrupted reading time!
     

Set-Up Crew: 5 volunteers needed 

  • Help with various tasks as OLI moves into Meridian Hall 

  • Help unload cars, boxes, and place as directed 

  • Label and organize backstage area and dressing rooms 

  • Help organize costumes by performer in the dressing rooms and backstage area 

  • Set-Up and arrange merchandise booth 

  • Set-up pre-show reception area

  • Set-Up Crew 8:00 AM-12:00 PM 5 shifts available

  • Door Guard 8:00 AM-1:00 PM 5 shifts available 

  • Door Guard 1:00-5:00 PM 5 shifts available
